How we can help

Academia is a key generator of research, but often prioritizes research that allows training graduate students, adding time and cost to research projects. An alternative is to hire a private company to do the research, but rarely will that company have dedicated PhDs with academic experience conduct the work.

We have carefully assembled a unique research team that swiftly get into gear to generate applied and sound scientific knowledge.  But we also have established collaborations with multiple academic partners, keeping us current with the latest developments in the field. Our work includes competitive research grants and conducting applied commissioned research for private and public institutions.

Human & Public Health

Our research covers varied topics such as quantifying the impact of antimicrobial use in food production animals on human health or assessing zoonotic risks through different exposure mechanisms.

Animal Health

Through collaborations with academia and government institutions, we have worked on animal disease risks and mitigation options – e.g., African swine fever, Foot-and-mouth disease, rabies, or canine leishmaniosis – as well as on quantification of the value of diagnostic tools.

Food Safety & Nutrition

Current research topics include evidence synthesis on the link between consumption of certain foods or hazards and health outcomes, and assessment of options to mitigate the burden of foodborne illness.

Business Analytics

We apply our quantitative risk analysis skills and experience to a variety of business applications. For example, we work with the Word Bank to investigate and use new insurance products to improve the resilience of vulnerable agricultural economies and stakeholders in low-income countries.
